Congratulations to Rochelle Robinson-Dukes, CCCTU Vice President, on Her Acceptance to Rosemary's House in Greece

We are proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by our own Rochelle Robinson-Dukes, City Colleges Vice President of CCCTU.

Rochelle has been accepted into the fall 2026 program at Rosemary's House, an international residential writing retreat based in Greece. She will participate in an October workshop led by celebrated poet Maggie Smith, spending a week immersed in craft alongside writers from around the world.

Her acceptance letter speaks for itself. Rosemary's House founder and director Angelica Toumbas wrote that Rochelle's poems "hold tenderness and fury in the same breath, refusing to let one cancel the other out," and described her Chicago poem as moving "like the city itself, restless and bruised." The program noted her willingness to sit inside contradiction as a strength that will serve her as she explores new forms of writing.

Rochelle's voice as a poet reflects the same clarity and commitment she brings to her union work. We celebrate you, Rochelle. Greece is lucky to have you coming.
